Alternates are not eligible to attend.</p> <p>The 2017 National Leadership Training will offer a variety of workshops that participants can choose from to allow for self-directed learning. These workshop will centre on the themes of: communicating with members; member engagement and mobilization; promoting equity, human rights and inclusion; and labour relations management as it relates to mental health in the workplace.</p> <p>Level 1 and Level 2 workshops will be offered to meet the learning needs of both newly-elected and more experienced leaders. The Alliance also recognizes that in order to provide advancement opportunity to workers who successfully complete the training, it would be necessary that training is coordinated with manpower requirements and the staffing policy in the public service.
