Nous rappellerons aux lib¨¦raux qu¡¯ils se sont engag¨¦s ¨¤ prot¨¦ger les droits des travailleurs, entre autres en abrogeant les lois <a href="http://syndicatafpc.ca/topics/bill-c-377">C-377</a> et <a href="http://syndicatafpc.ca/topics/bill-c-525">C?525</a> ainsi que les dispositions antisyndicales des lois <a href="http://syndicatafpc.ca/lafpc-conteste-loi-sur-controle-depenses-projet">C-10</a>, <a href="http://syndicatafpc.ca/loi-execution-budget-c4">C-4</a> et <a href="http://syndicatafpc.ca/lafpc-entame-action-en-justice-contre-projet-loi-c">C-59</a>, et ce, dans les plus brefs d¨¦lais.</p> </div> </div> </div> <section class="field field-name-field-topics field-type-taxonomy-term-reference field-label-above view-mode-rss"><h2 class="field-label">Topics:&nbsp;</h2><ul class="field-items"><li class="field-item even"><a href="/352/topics/bill-c-377">Bill C-377</a></li><li class="field-item odd"><a href="/352/budget-implementation-bill-c4">Bill C-4</a></li><li class="field-item even"><a href="/352/topics/bill-c-525">Bill C-525</a></li><li class="field-item odd"><a href="/352/topics/employment-insurance">Employment insurance</a></li><li class="field-item even"><a href="/352/equality-rights">Equality Rights</a></li><li class="field-item odd"><a href="/352/topics/aboriginal-issues">Indigenous Issues</a></li><li class="field-item even"><a href="/352/topics/womens-rights">Women&#039;s rights</a></li><li class="field-item odd"><a href="/352/topics/federal-government">Federal government</a></li><li class="field-item even"><a href="/352/topics/pensions">Pensions</a></li></ul></section> Fri, 04 Dec 2015 22:30:20 +0000 bedardc 4353 at/352 Throne Speech lays out positive commitments https://www.google.com//352/throne-speech-lays-out-positive-commitments <div class="field field-name-body field-type-text-with-summary field-label-hidden view-mode-rss"> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item even"><p>The <a href="http://speech.gc.ca/en/content/making-real-change-happen">Speech from the Throne</a> has outlined some major Liberal commitments that will require major investments in the public service.</p> <p>¡°While the Speech did not include any specific commitment to restoring federal public services, we will be looking to the government¡¯s first budget to include the necessary resources to allow the public service to implement these commitments,¡±? ?said PSAC national president Robyn Benson.</p> <p>The Speech did outline some very positive commitments to:</p> <ul><li>strengthen Employment Insurance,</li> <li>work with the provinces and territories to enhance the Canada Pension Plan,</li> <li>reach a new Health Accord with the provinces and territories,</li> <li>implement the recommendations of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission; and</li> <li>pursue an enquiry into missing and murdered indigenous women and girls.</li> </ul><p>¡°We are hopeful that the government¡¯s plan to invest in social infrastructure will include putting in place a national child care program¡±, said Benson.</p> <p>The Speech did not include any reference to its election promise to rebuild labour relations at the federal level.</p> <p>As this new Parliament begins its work, PSAC will be holding the Liberal government accountable to act quickly on its commitments to uphold labour rights, including repealing Bills <a href="/352/topics/bill-c-377">C-377</a> and <a href="/352/topics/bill-c-525">C-525</a>, as well as the offending provisions of Bills <a href="/352/psac-challenges-expenditure-restraint-act-bill-c10">C-10</a>, <a href="/352/budget-implementation-bill-c4">C-4</a> and <a href="/352/psac-launches-court-action-against-bill-c-59">C-59</a>.</p> </div> </div> </div> <section class="field field-name-field-topics field-type-taxonomy-term-reference field-label-above view-mode-rss"><h2 class="field-label">Topics:&nbsp;</h2><ul class="field-items"><li class="field-item even"><a href="/352/topics/bill-c-377">Bill C-377</a></li><li class="field-item odd"><a href="/352/budget-implementation-bill-c4">Bill C-4</a></li><li class="field-item even"><a href="/352/topics/bill-c-525">Bill C-525</a></li><li class="field-item odd"><a href="/352/topics/employment-insurance">Employment insurance</a></li><li class="field-item even"><a href="/352/equality-rights">Equality Rights</a></li><li class="field-item odd"><a href="/352/topics/aboriginal-issues">Indigenous Issues</a></li><li class="field-item even"><a href="/352/topics/womens-rights">Women&#039;s rights</a></li><li class="field-item odd"><a href="/352/topics/federal-government">Federal government</a></li><li class="field-item even"><a href="/352/topics/pensions">Pensions</a></li></ul></section> Fri, 04 Dec 2015 21:55:09 +0000 bedardc 4352 at/352
